Higher education is facing many challenges, both here in Minnesota and nationally. Public funding for colleges and universities has declined significantly in recent years. The University of Minnesota received less than half of its budget request from the state Legislature this past session, forcing the U to increase tuition and explore options for cutting expenses. This week, our conversation with University of Minnesota President Eric Kaler.
