    Rademacher wrote the book he wishes he had while earning his teaching degree. He focuses less on teaching theory and instead provides actual examples of lessons he has learned on the job.

    As Minnesota schools struggle to close an achievement gap between white and black students, Rademacher stresses the importance of establishing trust and listening to students from a variety of backgrounds.
