The Heartland Girls’ Ranch
For the week of November 24th, 2013
Victims of human trafficking or other forms of abuse or neglect suffer severe trauma often leading to behavioral and emotional problems. But an innovative program at the Heartland Girls’ Ranch in Benson, Minnesota is giving hope to teens who have been physically, emotionally or sexually abused. This week on Access Minnesota, Cece Terlow, Executive Director of the ranch, tells us how horses play a therapeutic role in helping these girls cope with their emotional wounds.
