Guests: Dr. Mary Jo Kane, director of the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport in the College of Education and Human Development.

Issues: The hyper feminization and heterosexualization of women in sports. Homophobia in the athletic community. Sports advertizing and marketing. Kane’s new study “Expanding the boundaries of sport media research: Using critical theory to explore consumer responses to representations of women’s sport” published in the Journal of Sport Management.
