In the era of the internet, it’s easy to underestimate the continuing impact of traditional media, such as radio, on local communities. Scholars who study radio are learning much about the power of this medium in both contemporary and historical contexts. Some are concluding that radio doesn’t always get the respect it deserves. This week on Access Minnesota, a look at radio and its place in our culture, with the author of a new book, “Radio: Essays in Bad Reception.”
